Victor Osimhen to Undergo Galatasaray Medical Ahead of €75M Move from Napoli
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to complete a high-profile transfer to Galatasaray, with a medical scheduled for Thursday, July 31, as final steps are taken in his €75 million move from Napoli.
According to reports by Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen will land in Istanbul on Wednesday evening. He is expected to finalize the deal the following day with routine medical checks and official signing of his contract.
The move follows a successful 2024/25 season, where Osimhen on loan from Napoli scored 37 goals and provided 8 assists in 41 matches for Galatasaray. His impressive form convinced the Turkish giants to push for a permanent deal, despite competition from Saudi club Al-Hilal, who reportedly offered more lucrative terms.
While Osimhen’s €75 million release clause wasn’t formally triggered, Napoli agreed to the fee in principle. The payment will be structured as €40 million upfront and €35 million payable by the end of 2026. The deal also includes up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause in Napoli’s favor.
A notable detail in the agreement is the insertion of an “anti-Serie A” clause, which prohibits Osimhen from joining any other Italian team within the next two years.
Though the agreement was initially reached on July 20, all legal and financial details were finalized this week, paving the way for one of the most significant transfers in Turkish football history. This move officially ends Osimhen’s four-year stay at Napoli and positions him as Galatasaray’s marquee signing heading into the new season.
