Urges APC, to adopt him as their candidate for promotion of National Unity.

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, one of the top contenders for the exalted position of the Senate presidency, Sen Orji Ụzọ Kalu, has gotten more supports from the stakeholders of the party in his zone under the aegis of Apc intellectuals Forum, Enugu State Chapter.

Recall that the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District and also chief Whip of the 9th Assembly , has been on the move to take over from Sen Ahmed Lawan, since he was reelected in February.

In a statement signed by the State Coordinator of the group, Chief Ezeugwu Nicholas and sent to newsmen on Sunday, he stated that, Sen Orji Ụzọ Kalu has all it takes, to propel the visions of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu through the National Assembly for the betterment of our dear Nation.

He stated that, Sen Kalu having won so many awards for his outstanding performances as a law maker as well as international recognition is the best candidate for the job as he has always been a detribalised Nigerian.

According to him “We the members of the APC intellectual forum Enugu state chapter, have critically done a swot analysis on all the aspirants for the Senate President of our dear Nation and agreed that, Sen Orji Uzo Kalu is the best man for the job.

” The decision was as a result of his experience in the private sector , competence on legislative affairs, capacity, antecedents as a lawmaker as well as performance as a Former Governor.

” His outstanding track records and impeccable character, has distinguished him amongst other aspirants as the one, that our dear Nation needs, to move forward and ensure that, we have a renewed hope”

“We are very much aware that, his support base has been growing day by day, because, most of his colleagues believes in his ability to lead devoid of sentiments.”

“We have started our own mobilisation work by meeting some of his colleagues, party leaders and other stakeholders to see the need of having a Senate President like Sen Orji Uzo Kalu”

The Group also called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the National Leadership of the Party, to consider Sen Kalu as he is the best person for the job now.

They also posited that, sentiments shouldn’t be at the fore front of who is to be endorsed for this exalted position because, what we need is someone who can deliver and that person amongst every other aspirant is Sen Orji Ụzọ Kalu.

APC Intellectuals also Thanked one of the South East Youth leaders, Dr Chibueze Oleka, for his commitment in making this dream a reality, saying that, posterity will reward him immensely.

“We call on our dear President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu to intervene and see the need of having a Senate President like Orji Ụzọ Kalu for the smooth actualisation of his visions towards our dear country”

“With our president’s intervention, it would influence the choice of the National Leadership of our Party”

“We cannot allow this golden opportunity to falter because, our renewed hope would be made manifest succinctly, with Sen Kalu as the Senate President”
