“Why I visited Atiku, Saraki, Lamido” – Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, recently made private visits to prominent leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

These visits have sparked speculation about the future plans of Nigeria’s main opposition parties in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The news of Obi’s visits was first announced by former vice president Atiku Abubakar on Twitter.

Atiku expressed his pleasure in receiving Obi and reminded followers that Obi was his running mate on the PDP presidential ticket during the 2019 elections, which they lost to former President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
