Wike: Tinubu’s Government Prioritizes Nigerians Over Political Aims

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration focuses on the welfare of Nigerians rather than political affiliations.

This statement was made during the inauguration of a five-kilometre dualized road in Kuje Area Council, Abuja, connecting Tipper Garage Junction to the LEA Secretariat.Wike noted that the implementation of various community-focused projects across all six area councils is part of Tinubu’s commitment to the residents of Abuja during his campaign.

“You have fulfilled your part. The president’s covenant with you was to earn your vote. Having secured that vote, he is now committed to upholding his promise by delivering essential infrastructure for your benefit,” he stated.

He acknowledged that while improvements are ongoing, progress is being made, citing the proverb, “little by little, you will catch a monkey” to underscore steady advancement.

Reflecting on the joy displayed by Kuje residents, Wike reiterated that a government’s ultimate goal should be to ensure the happiness of its people. “Your happiness brings us joy.

Your dissatisfaction impacts our well-being,” he added.Wike highlighted that the Tinubu administration is attuned to the needs of the populace and operates a “government that communicates with its citizens.”

He reaffirmed that only Tinubu’s government empowers residents to articulate their needs and promises to act on them.Wike expressed confidence that with residents’ continued support, more projects would be executed in Kuje.

The recently inaugurated Kuje township road emerged from a request by the Gomo of Kuje, Jibrin Tanko, who also advocated for the completion of the Airport Road to Kuje.

Wike detailed that the project had previously been awarded to Arab Contractors by the former administration at a cost exceeding N59 billion but assured residents that the Tinubu government had resumed the project, which is already in progress and will soon be completed.
