The Youth Awaken and Development Initiative (YADI) has concluded plans to host a Skill Festival in Enugu State.
This empowerment initiative was revealed by the Managing Director, Mr. Timothy Ugochukwu, on Friday.
According to the Director, he stated that the Skill Festival is a platform for empowerment, visibility, and employment for all skilled youths in Enugu State and beyond.
He stated that the programme intends to empower people who have skills such as tailoring, shoe making, hair making, amongst others.
He posited that the event will take place on March 21, 2026, at the International Conference Center, Enugu, with an expectation of supporting 17 outstanding youths from Enugu’s 17 Local Government Areas with business support funds.
Mr. Ugochukwu also stated that the motivation behind the programme is to encourage youths to be solution providers and not complainers.
Moreover, it could be recalled that last year, the organization empowered more than 20 persons with grants to aid their businesses.
