“You can’t suspend breeze, Damagun is party’s problem” – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, the former Senator representing Kogi West, responded on Saturday by saying that a breeze cannot be suspended, following his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his local Ward. He criticized the Acting Chairman of the party, Illiya Damagun, asserting that he is the root of the party’s troubles.

The PDP executive committee in Ayetoro Gbede, Ward 1, had suspended Melaye for alleged anti-party activities and misconduct, claiming the action was due to his failure to respond to a summons.

The decision to suspend Melaye was made during a meeting of the Ward party executive committee on Friday, after they assessed a disciplinary committee’s report that investigated the accusation of anti-party behavior against him. The suspension resolution was endorsed by Ward Chairman Abayomi Osamika and Secretary Yodson Dayo.

In a video shared on X, Melaye declared, “You can’t suspend a breeze. Damagun is the origin of PDP’s issues; his belly is his God.”
