Young Lady Complains About Soaring Prices of Men’s Clothing in Nigeria

A young lady has taken to social media to express concern over the rising cost of men’s clothes in Nigeria, questioning why men appear unconcerned about the situation.

In a viral video, she shared her experience trying to buy clothes for her partner, noting that prices for men’s wear have become extremely high, yet men seem to accept it without protest.

“To be very honest, e get something wey I don noticed and it’s very very critical. Men, una clothe is very expensive ooh. It’s too much. And you people are not saying anything, it seems some of you are very comfortable about it,” she said.

The lady warned that ignoring the issue will allow it to persist, emphasizing that men cannot continue to overlook the high prices. She added, “Very soon una go make am be like say na woman be una problem, you people are your own problem. Why is your clothe too expensive like that?”

She further revealed that some shirts now sell for as high as ₦200,000 to ₦300,000, a price she considers unreasonable. She argued that this could explain why many women limit themselves to buying only singlets and boxers for male partners during birthdays or celebrations, as those are more affordable options.

Her video has sparked widespread reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing with her perspective, while others believe men have simply adapted to the current market reality.
