Actress Chisom Steve Opens Up About Miscarriage After Being Mocked Over Fertility
Award-winning Nollywood actress Chisom Steve has revealed she suffered a miscarriage, responding emotionally to a hurtful message that questioned her ability to conceive.
Nollywood actress Chisom Steve has broken her silence on a deeply personal experience, disclosing that she recently suffered a miscarriage. The revelation came after she received a cruel message from a social media user questioning her fertility.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, Chisom posted a screenshot of a direct message from a woman who bluntly asked, “Why are you not yet pregnant? Abi are you barren?”
In her emotional response, Chisom clarified that she is not barren but had tragically lost a pregnancy. She did not mince words as she addressed the insensitivity of the message.
“I’m not barren. I actually had a miscarriage and I’ve been battling with the pain of losing a child. But since you found it fun to mock me, in your time of life, you shall be called barren,” the actress wrote.
Following her response, the woman who sent the message reportedly apologized, claiming she never meant to cause harm and was simply “asking out of curiosity.”
Chisom Steve’s public response has drawn support from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom praised her for speaking up and shedding light on the emotional toll of pregnancy loss and online harassment.
