Anambra Local Government Elections: APGA Sweeps All 21 Chairmanship and Councillorship Seats

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has emerged victorious in the September 28 local government elections in Anambra State, winning all 21 chairmanship and councillorship seats across the state .

Genevieve Osakwe, Chairman of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC), announced the results, describing the election as free, fair, and credible.

APGA secured all chairmanship seats and councillorship positions in each local government area, as confirmed at the ward level. Notably, the opposition parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP), did not participate in the election, citing concerns over the electoral process.
