Atiku’s Spokesperson Challenges Tinubu’s Re-election Bid for 2027

The spokesperson for the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, responded to George Akume’s remarks by stating that President Bola Tinubu has not demonstrated eligibility for a second term.

Akume warned Northern political figures against contesting Tinubu in the 2027 elections, claiming that it is still the South’s turn to produce the President.

However, Atiku’s spokesperson highlighted a discrepancy in years of leadership between the North and South, questioning the fairness and equity in the power distribution.

The spokesperson emphasized that the Nigerian populace holds the authority to elect and remove their government, contingent upon the government’s demonstration of merit.
