Bobrisky Received VIP Treatment While in Prison, Alleged Ex-Inmates Reveal

The controversy surrounding the prison experience of popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has taken a new twist as two individuals claiming to be former inmates have spoken out on the matter.

Appearing on The Honest Bunch podcast, the self-identified ex-inmates refuted viral claims that Bobrisky never actually served time in prison.

The rumors were sparked by a voice note allegedly Bobrisky’s shared by social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), suggesting the influencer never entered a prison cell but was accommodated outside the facility in a private room.

Contradicting that narrative, one of the former inmates stated:

“We were in prison during Bobrisky’s sentence.

Although we weren’t in the same cell, we saw him frequently for the six months he spent there. He was initially brought to the medium-security facility before being transferred to maximum security.”

While both men acknowledged that Bobrisky received preferential treatment and was isolated from the general prison population, they insisted he was very much within the prison premises.

Another ex-inmate added:

“He wasn’t in a standard cell like the rest of us. Yes, it was VIP treatment, but he wasn’t outside like VDM is claiming.”

Their statements come amidst growing public interest in Bobrisky’s legal battles and the perceived disparity in how justice is served.

The influencer was sentenced earlier this year for Naira abuse, a charge that led to six months of incarceration.

@iamChimexJay: “So Bob no chop general beans? Just VIP treatment for naira abuse. This country na cruise.”

@MadamKeziah_001: “VDM said he wasn’t there at all. These ones say he was inside but living large. Who dey lie?”

@OdogwuX: “Special cell for who abuse Naira? But person wey thief garri go sleep for floor.”

@softboi_dre: “Bob wey dey form hard guy online no fit stay general cell? Na wa o, VIP even inside prison.”

Bobrisky has remained a polarizing figure, often attracting controversy with his public persona. While his supporters hail his confidence and style, critics argue that his actions frequently push legal and social boundaries.

With these new revelations, the debate over his prison term and the broader issue of celebrity privilege in Nigeria’s justice system is far from over.
