Leaders across all areas in Nigeria have been enjoined to prioritize national interest and progress before personal interests as a way of building a better nation and bringing an end to a series of issues affecting our growth.
The leadership of Progressive United Nigerian Youths (Puny) made this call on Friday in Enugu during its National Administrative Committee meeting held at Castle Majestic Hotels, Enugu.
Speaking with newsmen, The National President, Comrade Chinagorom Franklin Egbo, stated that the organization was birthed to close the gap created by the inability of other youth organizations to project and protect the interest of Nigerian Youths.
He stated that the youth group has no political undertone as they stand or support no political party, which he said, if done, would dent the image and existing integrity.
He assured that he would work tirelessly to make the organization a thing to behold as well as the voice of the youths.
According to him, “Progressive United Nigerian Youths is an association of progressive-minded young persons and Nigerians who are inquisitive about changing the narrative of youth exclusion in Governance.”
“We have seen numerous groups coming out from time to time to act on behalf of the voiceless Nigerian Youths, but still, there are still gaps filled everywhere.”
“Our duty is to breach those gaps and usher in a generation of Nigerian Youths determined to make a positive impact in the country through innovation, scientific and technological inventions, amongst others.”
“We are not supporting any political party, but we work with political leaders for the well-being of society.”
