Delegates of Aniyi Amagunze Development Union (AADU) Extend Care to Injured Sisters

In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and compassion, the community leaders of Aniyi Amagunze Development Union (AADU) paid a visit to the victims of accidental gunshots today. The delegation was led by Chief Anthony Nwobodo, Chairman of AADU, and Comr. Nweke Uchenna Samson. Hon. Okechukwu Edeh, the Council Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Hon. Okechukwu Mbah, the representative of Nkanụ East Constituency in the Enugu State Hallowed Chamber, and Hon. Nnamdi Nwafor, the PDP Chairman of Enugu East Senatorial Zone, were also present during the visit.

The unfortunate incident occurred on July 23, 2023, along Orie Emene Road in Enugu, when members of the Nigerian Airforce accidentally discharged their firearms, injuring two individuals in the process. The victims, identified as Chinaza Orji and Onyinye Orji, both children of Mr. Nnamani Nworji and residents of Obinagu Aniyi Amagunze, were immediately rushed to the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu for treatment.

“We stand united in our support for Chinaza and Onyinye during their recovery process,” said Chief Anthony Nwobodo. “Our community is like a family, and we are committed to providing them with all the care they need to fully recover.”

The visit aimed not only to express sympathy but also to assure the victims that their community stands firmly by their side. Recent updates from the hospital indicate that both Chinaza and Onyinye are responding positively to treatment, which has brought relief to their family and the community at large.
