Doyin Okupe Dismisses Allegations of 2023 Election Rigging, Citing APC Losses in Key States

Former presidential spokesman Doyin Okupe has rejected claims by Peter Obi and the Labour Party that the 2023 presidential election was rigged.

Okupe pointed out that if the election was truly rigged, President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) wouldn’t have lost in Tinubu’s home state of Lagos and in Katsina, the home state of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okupe argued that while some rigging may have occurred, the overall results reflect the general voting pattern.

He emphasized that no presidency was stolen and expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, praising his development-focused approach and policies.

This statement comes after Peter Obi and his supporters, the Obidient Movement, alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rigged the election in favor of Tinubu.
