ELS President Awards NANS Director of Intercampus Crisis Management, Enugu.

On Friday, April 4th, 2025, after the NANS international conference at the IMT conference center, the ELS departmental president, Egbo Caleb Somtochukwu, presented an award of recognition to the NANS Director of Intercampus Crisis Management, Comr. Ogbodo Peter Ebubechukwu.

Comrade Egbo Somtochukwu, the ELS departmental president, on behalf of the executive committee, presented an award of recognition and merit to the NANS Director of Intercampus Crisis Management, Enugu, stating that the director, Comr. Ogbodo Peter, is one of the leaders who has the best interests of the students at heart. He shared a past experience of working with the director on a program, which allowed him to recognize the director’s enthusiasm, passion, and vision for Nigerian students, qualities he described as exemplary.

When he and his executive committee were in search of major leaders and stakeholders in NANS, Enugu State, to award, they singled out the director as an ideal candidate for the award because of his past achievements and his current efforts in ensuring that crises in Enugu State universities and polytechnics are effectively managed. The departmental president also encouraged the director to continue his good work.

A member of ESUT Monitor, who witnessed the conference, shared her brief experience with the director. According to her, the director ensured that he was present to see the students off before he left. When she asked why he wasn’t going with them, he responded, “As a leader, I have to make sure the students return safely first”.
