Enugu’s New Local Government Chairmen What They Need to Know.

By Sebastine Chukwuebuka Okafor Bookastro.

The previous administration under Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi allowed ordinary people to have access to the government, and I was fortunate to be a part of that. Unfortunately, many abused this privilege and turned it against the humble leader. Some people acted like they were more important politically than they really were, until Peter Obi came along and showed them the reality of their inflated political egos.

When “Nwoke Owo” became the flag bearer, he didn’t want to campaign hard. Instead, he relied on the so-called “stakeholders” to help him win. However, after Obi’s rise, it became clear that many were just pretending to be politically active.

Once “Nwoke Owo” took office and promised to do things differently, he created strict rules at the government house gate. Many who had not learned how to save during Rt Hon Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi’s time began to struggle. They were pretending to be important and wasting time with unimportant matters. Some local government chairmen took what they could not account for, doing so without any sense of guilt and leaving their deputies in need.

They should know which events to attend and which to skip; otherwise, they could face serious problems. Anyone who wants to “Kpọchie” must also put in the effort; otherwise, they will have significant issues. You cannot be both bad and foolish at the same time.

Newly elected council chairmen must follow what “Nwoke Owo” is doing, unless they want to waste their time and wonder where the last two years went.
