Former Senate President and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, made a significant political move by officially joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sources first hinted at this transition on June 29, announcing Anyim’s departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to align with the APC.

His formal induction into the APC ranks occurred over the weekend in the Southeast region, where he was warmly welcomed by the national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other party leaders.

The joining ceremony took place at the Abakaliki Stadium during a vibrant party rally that saw the presence of notable figures, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and various party dignitaries.
