Hair Vendor Exposes How She Unknowingly Bought Stolen Wigs Worth Millions of Naira

A Nigerian hair vendor, identified as @Kimsly Hairven on TikTok, has shared a shocking story about how she unknowingly purchased stolen wigs valued at millions of naira, prompting the intervention of security operatives.

According to her, the wigs were bought from a woman identified as Non Chalant, who contacted her via WhatsApp and offered to sell high-quality wigs at discounted prices. The business dealings seemed legitimate until a final transaction worth ₦1.1 million led to unexpected trouble.

After completing the purchase, Kimsly was tagged in a post on Instagram accusing her of selling stolen wigs. Disturbed by the accusation, she reached out to the poster and discovered that the police had been trying to contact her over the matter.

It was later revealed that Non Chalant was actually an employee of another hair vendor and had been secretly stealing wigs from her employer and reselling them. Fortunately, Kimsly Hairven was later cleared of any wrongdoing by the actual owner of the stolen goods after investigations confirmed she was an innocent buyer.

Following the incident, Kimsly announced that she has hired a lawyer to draft a formal agreement to be signed by anyone selling wigs to her in the future, in order to prevent a similar occurrence. She stated that the form will serve as proof of authenticity and ownership for all future transactions.

The hair vendor shared the experience in a viral TikTok video, advising other business owners to verify the sources of their goods and protect themselves legally when engaging in resale or consignment deals.
