“I am still full-fledged member of Labour Party” – Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran Nollywood actor and politician, has refuted claims that he has left the Labour Party. Speaking on the Arise Television’s Prime Time program, Okonkwo stated that he is still a full member of the party.

He expressed his embarrassment at hearing this news from a media station and clarified that he had put out a statement to avoid any misconceptions. When asked specifically if he is still a member of the Labour Party, he confirmed that he is. Okonkwo explained that the crisis in the party relates to the National Working Committee (NWC) and their failure to organize an inclusive convention, as per court judgments and past agreements.

He expressed his disappointment with party leader Peter Obi’s leadership style and his ability to address national issues. Okonkwo highlighted the need for a bold and decisive leader with integrity and team spirit to achieve his vision for Nigeria.
