Kate Henshaw, a revered figure in Nollywood, recently shared a heartfelt account of her recent reunion with her long-time colleague, Genevieve Nnaji, highlighting their renewed bond after a period of separation.

During an interview with Media Maestro Chude Jideonwo, Kate was asked about the status of her friendship with Genevieve Nnaji from their earlier days in the industry.

In her articulate response, Kate acknowledged that they had experienced some minor differences in recent years. She specifically mentioned her concern about Genevieve’s tendency to distance herself from her and their co-workers.

However, Kate revealed that they reconnected while working on a Netflix production together. She described Genevieve as warm and open, despite the years of no contact.

Notwithstanding their differences, Kate expressed her admiration and affection for Genevieve, likening her to the Nollywood equivalent of Angelina Jolie, who prefers to work independently and avoid the mingling and networking that often characterize the film industry.
