Increasing insecurity linked to severe hardship – Iyabo Ojo.

Prominent Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has attributed the escalating insecurity in Nigeria to severe hardship.

She emphasized that extreme deprivation, acute psychological distress, sleeplessness, and substance abuse are contributing significantly to insecurity, irrational conduct, and deteriorating mental well-being in the society.

In a recent Instagram post, Iyabo disclosed that her direct messages (DM) serve as evidence of these challenges, leading her to refrain from reading her DM for the sake of her mental health.

She expressed a hope that the government will be granted the insight to take prompt and appropriate action before it becomes too late.

“Hardship, causing acute depression, insomnia, an increase in drug intake, which is amounting to the huge volume of insecurity, irrational behaviour, and mental health in our society.

“My DM is a testimonial to these facts. Henceforth, I have to stop reading my DM’s to protect my sanity. May God grant our government the wisdom to do right by their people before it is too late”.
