Mohbad’s Reported Struggles with Naira Marley’s Record Label Shed Light on Challenges Faced in the Industry.

Bella Shmurda, the Nigerian artist also known as Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, has opened up about the struggles faced by his fellow musician, Mohbad, and how it affected his mental health, reportedly leading to a suicide attempt.

Recall from DAILY POST reveals that Mohbad made public allegations against his previous record label boss, Naira Marley, through social media platforms last year. In his accusations, Mohbad claimed that Naira Marley instructed his associates to physically assault him.He left the record label shortly after the incident.

During a conversation with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda revealed a distressing incident involving Mohbad. According to Bella Shmurda, Mohbad had reached such a low point during his struggle with the situation that he made an attempt to end his own life. Fortunately, his friends intervened and prevented the tragedy from occurring.

He said, “There was a time, me and Mohbad were in an apartment and Mohbad was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of the issues he was having with his record label. We held him by the window. Mohbad had almost jumped, it was his girlfriend that entered the room and saw him sitting down at the window.”Bella Shmurda said Mohbad went through therapy sessions and hospital for hypertension treatment before he recovered from the issues with his former record label.
