Nationwide Distribution of One Million Bibles Launched to Honour Seyi Tinubu

A faith-based initiative aimed at promoting moral renewal and ethical leadership among Nigerian youths has announced plans to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across the country in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The project was unveiled during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja. The event, coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), was organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu.

According to the organisers, the initiative is not merely a personal celebration but a national moral movement intended to instill values of integrity, compassion, and civic responsibility in young Nigerians.

Hon. Enwere explained that the Bibles would be distributed through churches, schools, and community organisations across all states, adding that the gesture seeks to “inspire moral transformation and restore positive values within society.”

“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation,” he said. “Through this effort, we hope to promote ethical leadership and renew the nation’s moral fabric.”

The thanksgiving service was simultaneously held in about 40 churches nationwide, featuring prayers and messages centred on national renewal and youth reformation. Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led special prayers for the Tinubu family and the country.

In a message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, stressing that faith-based education remains crucial to building responsible citizens and strengthening national unity.

The first batch of Bibles was presented during the event, marking the start of the nationwide distribution to churches, schools, and youth ministries in the coming weeks.

Clerics from various denominations lauded the initiative, describing it as timely amid growing societal concerns about the erosion of moral values and the need to redirect the youth toward purposeful living.
