Nkanu Youth Organisation Urges Partnership for Youth Emancipation

Nkanu Youth Organisation (NYO) has urged all Nkanu-born professionals across various sectors to partner with the organization to emancipate the youths from Nkanu land.

The group disclosed this call in a press statement signed by its National President and Secretary, Comrade Dika David and Comrade Pedro Ugwu, as part of their resolutions during their recent stakeholders meeting held in Enugu.

According to the group, “There is a sacrosanct need for all stakeholders from Nkanu extraction to identify with us through registration as members.” They emphasized that partnership with the group by gifted sons and daughters from Nkanu extraction would help them overcome obstacles brought upon them due to disunity.

The NYO also beckoned on the executive Governor of Enugu State, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, to redesign his recruitment policies in ways that will accommodate more youths, especially those from Nkanu extraction. “This will give them the needed willpower to gain economic emancipation.”

The group further stressed the importance of the government at all tiers prioritizing the welfare of Nigerians by making food affordable as hunger is almost ravaging the nation.

“The Federal and State governments should, as a matter of urgency, prioritize the welfare of Nigerians.”

In their call for cultural integration and historical revisitation, the NYO noted, “There is a need for cultural integration and history revisitation so as to bond well with our brothers from Isiuzo.” They believe that strengthening these cultural ties will foster unity and progress within the community.
