They Rough Handled Me – Korra Obidi laments

Korra Obidi, a renowned Nigerian dancer and singer, recently voiced her dismay regarding a distressing encounter she had recently faced.

Taking to her Instagram page, she openly expressed her disappointment with the treatment she and her friend received during a routine vehicle inspection conducted by law enforcement officers.

Korra recounted a specific incident where an officer disregarded their request to lock the car doors for a thorough examination of their documents.

She highlighted another occurrence where an officer uncomfortably accessed the interior of the car by kneeling on the driver’s seat.During a light meal, the officers performed a search of their bags and personal belongings using rough and intrusive methods, which Korra found to be unsettling.

In response, Korra urged law enforcement authorities to prioritize capturing dishonest politicians rather than focusing on the younger generation.She is of the opinion that redirecting their resources and attention could contribute to addressing the issue of escalating fuel prices in the country.

She expressed her thoughts as follows:

“Trying to enjoy Taco Tuesday in Lagos. Encountered multiple police checkpoints where unfamiliar men forcefully handled me and conducted searches on my bag and personal belongings @frankhasaplan. Lagos Police, please allow the youth some breathing space, for the love of God.

If you direct this amount of energy towards apprehending politicians involved in embezzlement, perhaps fuel prices wouldn’t be at ₦560 today. Shaking my head.”
