Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro, has assured that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not on the verge of collapse despite recent defections and internal challenges.
Speaking in Jos, Plateau State, during the PDP’s North Central Zonal Elective Congress, the Benue South Senator expressed optimism that the party will emerge stronger and more united.
He emphasized that the ongoing reorganization and elections at various levels—from wards to zones—are part of the broader effort to revitalize the party ahead of its National Convention.
Moro dismissed fears that Nigeria is heading towards a one-party system, noting that while defections can cause temporary disruptions, the PDP remains resilient.
He cited the high turnout and enthusiasm at the congress as evidence of the party’s enduring strength, adding that party members, including leaders like former Governor Bukola Saraki, are committed to rebuilding and repositioning the PDP for the future.
