Nigerian activist and social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), has refused to honor an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding corruption allegations against EFCC officials.
VeryDarkMan had released an audio recording allegedly of social media influencer Bobrisky claiming he paid N15 million to have a money laundering charge dropped.
The EFCC invited VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky to its Lagos office to aid investigators.
However, VeryDarkMan declined, citing:
- Residence in Abuja, not Lagos.
- Lack of trust in EFCC’s investigation process.
- Concerns over potential framing.
He demanded:
- Investigation of EFCC officers handling Bobrisky’s case.
- Invitation to Abuja instead of Lagos.
Bobrisky has denied paying N15 million and described the audio as fake.
