The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has placed actress Halima Abubakar on indefinite suspension due to alleged professional misconduct.
Following a two-year investigation, the Guild found Abubakar guilty of spreading false information about colleagues, associates, and patrons, including allegations of extramarital affairs with highly placed individuals.
Other female members are also under investigation regarding their involvement in releasing names of individuals linked to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Abubakar will face the National Disciplinary Committee to determine her full punishment and is barred from participating in AGN and filming activities during her suspension.
