Published on

Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, expressed frustration with the Nigerian music scene, stating that untalented artists gain popularity through extensive promotion.

Ruger criticized the industry on his social media handle, saying: “The music scene has been hurting me because, regardless of an artist’s lack of talent, they can gain popularity if they have money for hype.”

He also condemned the overuse of autotunes during stage performances, asserting that he doesn’t need such enhancements.

Ruger’s comments highlight concerns about the music industry’s emphasis on promotion over talent, sparking debate among fans and fellow artists.
