Activist Aisha Yesufu has criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that it poses a significant threat to the opposition. Yesufu claimed that the party has been in decline since 2014 due to its mistreatment of Nigerians.
In a post on X, she remarked, “The same PDP we faced criticism for is the same one that is now perceived as destroyed. They thought they were untouchable and treated Nigerians poorly.”
She further emphasized, “PDP is a threat to opposition.”
Currently, the PDP is embroiled in a leadership crisis regarding the National Chairman position. PDP member Segun Sowunmi, a former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, accused President Bola Tinubu of instigating this turmoil by appointing Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory without consulting party elders.
