Aiyedatiwa emerges as the winner of the Ondo APC governorship primary.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, achieved victory in securing the gubernatorial candidacy of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The declaration of Aiyedatiwa as the nominee stemmed from the announcement made by Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, who acted as the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee.

Following the commencement of the exercise on April 20, the outcome, where Aiyedatiwa garnered the highest count of 48,569 votes, was disclosed almost two days later.

During the primaries, rife with controversy and heightened tensions, Aiyedatiwa’s main competitor, Mayowa Akinfolarin, obtained the second position with 15,343 votes.

Securing the third spot was Olusola Oke with 14,915 votes, while Jimoh Ibrahim claimed the fourth position with a total of 9,456 votes.
