Veteran soul and R&B singer, Angie Stone, has tragically passed away at the age of 63.
According to reports, Stone was involved in a fatal Sprinter van accident in Alabama, US, after leaving a performance in Montgomery early in the morning.
Her daughter, Diamond Stone, confirmed the sad news on social media, saying “My mummy is gone.”
Angie Stone’s representative, Deborah R. Champagne, also verified her passing.Stone rose to fame as a member of The Sequence, the first all-female group signed to Sugar Hill Records.
Throughout her illustrious career, she earned three Grammy nominations and became a renowned figure in the music industry.
