Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State have been urged to show dedication to the party and jettison the act of sabotage or play of double standards, which kills unity amongst the members.

The Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, made this call on Saturday during the local government meeting of the party. He stated that party leaders and stakeholders, from the ten political wards to the Local Executive Committee (LEC) members, must understand their responsibilities and remain committed to strengthening the party’s structure ahead of future elections.

Hon. Nwanjoku warned against unauthorized meetings within the local government, emphasizing that no gathering should hold without his approval as the council chairman. He stressed that defiance of this directive would not be tolerated, as such acts could breed division and weaken the party’s cohesion in Aninri.

He further reaffirmed the total support of Aninri PDP members for the re-election bid of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in 2027, acknowledging the governor’s achievements in governance and development. According to him, the people of Aninri have pledged their unwavering loyalty to the governor and will continue to back his administration’s vision for Enugu State.
