Sean Baker’s film Anora emerged as the big winner, sweeping five awards, including the coveted Best Picture.

Kieran Culkin won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in A Real Pain, and Zoe Saldaña made history by winning Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Emilia Pérez.

This year’s awards highlighted significant milestones, including Paul Tazewell becoming the first Black man to win an Oscar for Costume Design for his work on “Wicked.”

The event was marked by heartfelt tributes to industry legends such as Gene Hackman and Quincy Jones, celebrating their contributions to cinema and music.

The telecast drew an audience of 19.7 million viewers in the United States, reflecting a continued interest in the prestigious awards.

Other notable wins included Flow, which secured the award for Best Animated Feature, and No Other Land, recognized as Best Documentary Feature.
