Spotify, a leading music streaming platform, has unveiled the top 30 most streamed Nigerian artists in the first half of 2024.
Ayra Starr and Tems have emerged as the most streamed Nigerian artists, with Ayra Starr’s collaborative track “Santa” with Rauw Alejandro taking the top spot.
Her solo hit “Comma” secured the second position, while Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” claimed the third spot. Other notable mentions include Luciano and Omah Lay’s “Another Vibe” at number four, Burna Boy and Savage’s “Metro Booming Just Like Me” at number five, and Tyla and Tems’ “No.1” at number six.
Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, revealed during a press conference in Lagos that the list highlights the most listened to Nigerian tracks outside the country between January 1 and June 30, 2024, showcasing the global reach and popularity of Nigerian music.
