After his unsuccessful bid in the Nigerian general election of 2023, musician-turned-politician Bankole Wellington, more commonly known as Banky W, has decided to return to his educational roots.
He revealed in an Instagram post on Friday that he is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in policy at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
This new pursuit comes after his defeat as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State, where he lost to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party, LP.
Banky W’s decision to further his education demonstrates his resilience and determination to continue his personal and professional development even in the face of setbacks.
“I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well”.
