Benue PDP Elects New Chairman Amidst Crisis.

Chief Ezekiel Adaji, a former House of Representatives member, has emerged as the new chairman of the Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Adaji was elected during the party’s state congress held in Makurdi on Thursday.

He will lead the new 27-member State Executive Committee, which includes other elected officials such as:

  • State Secretary: Dan Nyikwagh
  • State Publicity Secretary: Tim Nyor
  • Youth Leader: Ibya Terkimbil
  • Women Leader: Mrs Alice Albert

The Caretaker Committee Legal Officer, Friday Ejembi, swore in the newly elected officials. Chief Adaji expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and promised to reconcile aggrieved party members and ensure the party’s return to power.

The Benue State PDP Congress Electoral Committee, led by Alh. Ibrahim Shaba, reported a total of 2,910 delegates, with 2,900 accredited for the state congress election.
