South African musician Black Coffee has shared a story about his former spouse, Enhle Mbali, and how she responded ungratefully to an extravagant car gift he gave her during their marriage.
In a recent discussion with Kaya 959, the DJ, who has won a Grammy, expressed his disappointment at the unexpected reaction he received from his partner after presenting the gift.
He mentioned feeling unappreciated and undervalued following that incident.
He said:
“The response wasn’t what I expected; she wasn’t excited. I expected her to even cry, but she was just like; ‘Oh, nice, thank you.’ And it sat with me heavily for a long time as someone who was not appreciating”.
