British singer Natalie Okri has disclosed that she stopped wearing wigs and human hair due to the spiritual implications associated with them.
According to Okri, some human hairs are sacrifices to deities and unknown gods, particularly in Asian cultures where women offer their hair at temples to purify themselves and shed bad luck.
She warned that black women who purchase these hairs may unknowingly be wearing someone else’s bad luck.
