Esteemed American rap artist and influential media figure, Joe Budden, has bestowed the title of “preeminent global artist” upon Burna Boy, the Nigerian singer who secured a Grammy win.

Joe Budden acknowledged Burna Boy’s immense influence in the global music industry but expressed his disapproval of Burna Boy claiming ownership of the remix of Jamaican artist Byron Messia’s popular song ‘Talibans’ after being featured on it.

According to Joe Budden, he strongly opposed similar actions taken by Kanye West in the past.He made this statement during a recent installment of his podcast, Joe Budden Network.

He expressed,

“I have never been in favor of individuals appropriating ownership of pre-existing songs for their own benefit after being featured in a remix.”“To the biggest artiste in the world [Burna Boy].

Yeah, I’m not a fan of when that happens. If you made the hit, go work it. If Burna Boy is on it, that should be yours now. But I don’t know the business he [Byron Messia] and Burna Boy did.“I never remember that going right for somebody. Designer and kanye [West], I was vehemently against it.”
