Rapper Cardi B has shut down rumors that she was paid to speak at US Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Wisconsin, where she publicly endorsed the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
Cardi B took to social media to set the record straight, stating, “I did not get paid a dollar for this… I actually been talking about these topics for the past couple years for free on my platforms!!”
She emphasized her personal connection to the issues, sharing that she was a product of poverty for 24 years, and therefore, isn’t motivated by money to speak out.
Cardi B’s endorsement came during Harris’ rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ahead of this month’s presidential election.
