Popular Nigerian comic actor, Charles Inojie has expressed his deep sorrow over the recent passing of his colleague, John Ikechukwu Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu , calling him an invaluable asset to the entertainment industry.
The tragic news of Mr Ibu’s death was announced on the evening of Saturday, March 2nd, sending shockwaves through the nation and the film community.
In a recent interview Inojie remarked that the loss of Mr Ibu is a devastating blow that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Inojie went on to praise Mr Ibu’s unique ability to communicate messages through his body language and gestures, even without speaking a word.
He said;
“There’s sometimes you lose a person in an industry and you say, well, so or so person would replace him. But Mr Ibu is irreplaceable. Mr Ibu spears with every part of his body.
“He is probably one of the few people in Africa that would sit without saying anything would communicate a million messages with his facial expressions, body language and gestures without verbalizing just one word of dramatic dialogue.
That doesn’t come cheap. We are going to miss that. You have John, you have a blockbuster.”
