George Wendt, the beloved American actor best known for his role as Norm Peterson on the iconic NBC sitcom Cheers, has died.
Wendt passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 76, according to a statement released by his publicist, Melissa Nathan.
