Chief Aloysius Ogbonna Jnr and Lolo Adaeze Ogbonna Honored with Prestigious Global Awards by IHRO

The International Human Rights Observatory (IHRO) has honored the Igwe-elect of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr, with a Global Ambassador Award.

The group also honored the monarch-elect’s wife, Lolo Adaeze Ogbonna(Ọdiụkọnamba) , with the Global Ambassador Award for Women Empowerment, recognizing her unwavering commitment to the development and empowerment of women.

According to reports, the recommendation for Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr and his wife was made by Chief Amechi Okolie, the Chief Coordinator of IHRO in Africa, following a thorough assessment of their contributions to human capital development. The recommendation was subsequently accepted by IHRO.

Presenting the award in Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom, the Global Chairperson of IHRO, Her Excellency, Dr. Madhavi Jupaka, remarked that Chief Ogbonna’s philanthropic activities have positively impacted many lives.

She further emphasized that IHRO is an organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights on a global scale. “After a thorough assessment of the request presented by our Africa Chief Coordinator, Chief Amechi Okolie, we decided to bestow this honor upon Chief Ogbonna. We appreciate what you have done, are doing, and we want you to continue for the sake of humanity. Our organization will always support you and give you the necessary encouragement to prosper,” Dr. Jupaka said.

Her Excellency, Dr. Madhavi Jupaka, further encouraged other leaders in Nigeria to emulate the Ogbonnas’ example, stating, “Their dedication to human capital development is exemplary. We hope this award serves as a catalyst for more leaders to take similar actions.”

Chief Ogbonna, in his response, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, stating that the honor from a globally reputable organization like IHRO is a call to do more. He dedicated the award to his team and partners in progress. “This award is not just an honor for me but a sign to the collective efforts of my community and family in uplifting the lives of others. I dedicate this to everyone who has been a part of this journey,” he stated.

He also highlighted the importance of philanthropy in societal development, urging others to join in the mission of uplifting those in need. “We must remember that true leadership is about service to others. I am committed to continuing this path and expanding our efforts to reach more people,” Chief Ogbonna added.

Lolo Adaeze Ogbonna, speaking on her award, reaffirmed her dedication to women’s empowerment. “Women’s development is a cause dear to my heart. This recognition inspires me to do more and create more opportunities for women in our community,” she said.
