Renowned food critic Opeyemi Famakin has publicly accused entertainment mogul Cubana Chiefpriest of threatening his life following a review of his restaurant.
Initially, Famakin had praised the restaurant’s atmosphere and decor but criticized the pre-made and microwaved pastries. Chiefpriest responded graciously, thanking Famakin for visiting and wishing him well.
However, the situation escalated when Famakin shared screenshots of a private conversation in which Chiefpriest allegedly wrote, “Karma is real… I leave lowlifes to karma.” Famakin interpreted this as a threat and alerted his followers, holding Chiefpriest accountable for any potential harm.
He wrote,
“I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold. I love how he was polite in the comment section for the world to see, but it was a different tone in my DMs.”
