The Lagos State Magistrate Court located in Ikorodu is scheduled to consider a lawsuit brought forth by Joseph Aloba, the father of the deceased singer Mohbad. Joseph Aloba is seeking a DNA test for his grandson, Liam.
Monisola Odumosu, the leader of the legal team representing the Aloba family, announced this development in an official statement.
The legal team is gearing up for the court proceedings regarding the DNA testing request for Liam, showcasing a significant step in this sensitive family matter.
The statement said;
“A date has been fixed for mention of the application for a DNA test by the family of late singer Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad, who died in an unusual circumstance on September 12, 2023.
“All necessary legal apparatus are (sic) in place towards the success of the matter. The application is at the Ikorodu Magistrate Court (MKD/31/FAM/2024), Joseph Aloba v Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba.
“The family, represented by the deceased’s father, is seeking an order directing a deoxyribonucleic acid test to be conducted following the paternity of an alleged son of Mr Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (deceased), Liam Aloba, in a recognised and accredited private or government medical facility within Lagos State, Nigeria at the expense of the applicant.”
