Davido Responds to Spyro’s Allegations of $5,000 Debt Involving Ubi Franklin

Singer Davido has addressed recent claims made by fellow artist Spyro regarding accusations that Ubi Franklin misused Davido’s name to defraud him.

In a recent interview, Spyro alleged that he was tricked by Franklin into performing at a birthday celebration in Ghana, believing the request came from Davido.

Following the performance, Spyro claimed that Franklin refused to pay him the agreed amount of $5,000.In response to Spyro’s allegations, Franklin contended that he withheld the payment because Spyro owes him money as well.

He stated that Spyro was meant to pay him a commission of 10 percent for helping him buy a car and indicated that the withheld $5,000 was part of this arrangement, adding that Spyro still owes him N2 million.

The accusations have sparked varied reactions, including one from Davido, who expressed his regret over being drawn into the dispute.

Sharing a video of Ubi Franklin’s rebuttal on his Instagram Story, Davido wrote, “Please, I’m sorry.”
