Renowned Nigerian artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, paid tribute to his late colleague, Mohbad, during his Timeless Tour in Manchester.
Mohbad, who tragically passed away on September 10, 2023, was laid to rest in the Ikorodu area of Lagos on the same day.
While extending his condolences to Mohbad’s family, Davido took a moment to shed light on the challenges faced by artists behind the scenes, despite their dedication to entertaining others.
He expressed, “I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of my dear brother, Mohbad, who left us yesterday. You see, as we, the artists, come on stage and perform for you every night, it may be difficult to grasp the struggles we face. We, too, are human beings. It requires immense strength for us to come out every night and deliver performances. We do it because we love you.”
Davido further added, “I want to give a special shoutout to my brother. I know you are watching from above. Tonight, we will celebrate in your honor.”
