Afrobeat singer Davido, a well-known Nigerian artist, was seen alongside other prominent musicians at Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia. The 10-day sold-out show, which began on August 16, 2024, took place at the State Farm Arena, accommodating 17,000 people.
A viral video on social media showed Davido backstage with American rapper Quavo, showing their support for Asake during his live performance. Similarly, Nigerian hitmaker Zlatan and American rapper Russ Millions were also present at the event.
Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour is scheduled to cover six cities in the United States. The tour will feature prominent venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Toyota Center in Houston, and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The tour comes shortly after the release of Asake’s latest hit, ‘Lungu Boy’, which features a star-studded lineup including Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmilla.
The immense popularity of ‘Lungu Boy’ is evident as it set a new record for the biggest opening week on Spotify Nigeria.
The song accumulated 18.9 million streams in its first week, surpassing the previous record held by Davido’s ‘Timeless’, which had 14.4 million streams.
