Ike Onyema, a former participant of the Big Brother Naija reality show, recently discussed the dynamic of attention within relationships and how it pertains to individuals facing financial hardships.
In outlining his perspective on romantic involvements with individuals experiencing financial constraints, Ike emphasized the propensity for such individuals to demand constant attention and exhibit a sense of entitlement.
In a social media post on his Instagram account, Ike posed a rhetorical question, pondering why anyone would opt to be in a relationship with someone in a less favorable financial position.
He wrote;
“Some reasons you should avoid dating broke people, starting from the fact that they aren’t supportive; they are also draining and lack gratitude irrespective of what you do for them.
“They always have a Sense of Entitlement, and expect 24 hours attention. So why settle for the broke while there are tons of smart and hardworking people out there ready to mingle?”
